BEHIND THE SCENES

Meet the team behind Act It Out...

Zoe Trilsbach | Co-Founder

Singer, dancer and actress Zoe’s career began when she was signed to Sony Music with pop group Cherry in 1998, landing three Top 40 hits. From there, she took to the stage in musicals Saturday Night Fever, Dusty, Pippin, We Will Rock You and Candy Man, before stepping into theatre production. Zoe co-founded Workhorse Theatre Company, one of the most respected indie theatre companies in Sydney. Workhorse quickly earned Sydney Theatre Award nominations for Best Production, and Zoe was nominated for Best Lead Actress, having performed in five of its six productions.

Her screen career spans both TV and film, with roles in The Last King of the Cross, Prosper, Janet King, Tricky Business, and even Happy Feet 2. A familiar face on Australian TV, Zoe has appeared in commercials including Foxtel, BCF, Sultana Bran, and Commonwealth Bank. Originally the voice of ABC Kids albums, Zoe's voice acting roles are featured in major brand campaigns including RealEstate.com, Panadol, NRMA, and A2 Milk.

A proud mum of two, Zoe balances motherhood with her passion for performance, now channeling her industry expertise into Act It Out. On Sundays, you'll find her digging in the garden or bush walking and bird-spotting with her babes.

Kristy Wright | Co-Founder

From landing Police Rescue at just 14 to her iconic role as Chloe Richards on Home and Away, earning two Logie nominations and becoming a fan favourite, Kristy has spent decades bringing characters to life on screen. She went on to star in Above the Law, Corridors of Power, Crash Palace, and Something in the Air, with guest spots on The Alice, White Collar Blue, and US productions The Lost World and Beastmaster. She played Natalie Portman's handmaiden in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith before moving and studying full-time in Los Angeles. Returning to Australia, Kristy earned Advanced Diplomas in Screenwriting & Producing at AFTRS, and recently starred in Stranded Pearl and Christmas Down Under.

Passionate about sharing her craft, Kristy founded Indigo Kids - Screen Acting School, where she has been mentoring young actors for the past 7 years. Kristy has recently signed on to join the resident faculty at Ettingshausens PRO, teaching drama to the next generation of performers, and now Act It Out sees Kristy bringing her creative energy and drive for drama education to schools across Australia.

As a dedicated mum to one, Kristy juggles parenting with her love for performance, using her industry know-how to shape Act It Out. When she’s not on stage or behind the scenes, she’s out adventuring with her 11-year-old son—whether it’s exploring nature trails, discovering new parks, or enjoying a cozy movie night together.
